Hotel a Splish Splash

Splish Splash draws families from across Long Island and beyond to its stretch of wave pools, tube slides and a lazy river set inland from the Hamptons' ocean beaches. Most visitors base themselves in Riverhead, the closest town to the park gates and home to the Tanger Outlets and the Peconic River waterfront, or further out toward Hampton Bays and Southampton, where motor inns and family-run cottages sit closer to the region's bay and ocean beaches. A rental car is essentially required, since the park sits inland from the coastal towns and public transit between them is limited outside the Long Island Rail Road's East End branch.
