Ons oordeel over het Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Hoover: het verdient zijn plek bij gezinnen met jonge kinderen die een zwembad en ontbijt in het hotel zelf nodig hebben, niet bij wie hoopt dat het hotel zelf deel van de vakantie wordt. Voor tieners die op spanning uit zijn, past het slecht, want de glijbanen liggen op rijafstand, niet op loopafstand. Verder doet het precies waarvoor je het boekt.
