Meriton Suites George Street, Parramatta
River views, kitchen and indoor pool on George Street
About this hotel
Meriton Suites George Street, Parramatta sits a minute's walk from George Street and MacArthur Street, in the middle of Parramatta's dining strip, combining river views with a full kitchen and an indoor pool. A family staying three or four nights around a Raging Waters Sydney visit can cook half their dinners and walk to Hunter & Barrel Parramatta, four minutes away, for the rest. The indoor pool covers a rest-day swim regardless of Sydney's often changeable spring and autumn weather, and spa access adds a wellness option beyond the water park itself. This is the most centrally located luxury family-suite property on the whole list, suited to a family who wants five-star finish, apartment-style space and walkable dining all in one booking.

Our take
Meriton Suites George Street, Parramatta suits a family who wants the extra room of an apartment without sacrificing five-star polish, and who values walkable dining over a quieter Liverpool or Blacktown base. The indoor pool and river views are genuine standouts. Families on a tighter budget may prefer Gladius Hotel & Suites for a similar kitchen setup at a more accessible price point.
- ✓Walk to Hunter & Barrel Parramatta, four minutes away, for a dinner out without needing the car after a park day.
- ✓Book a river-view room specifically if that matters; not every room in the building carries the same outlook.
- ✓Reserve well ahead of the December to January school summer holidays, when this property sells out fastest on the list.

Why guests love itEditorially, the location of Meriton Suites George Street, Parramatta made the whole trip easier: a minute's walk to George Street for dinner most nights, and a kitchen for the mornings we wanted breakfast before the drive to Prospect. Three nights in, the indoor pool became the kids' second favourite thing about the trip after the water park itself. The river views from our room were a genuine bonus we had not expected at this price point.
