Hotels in United States

The United States invented the modern waterpark holiday, and the choice of where to sleep is wider here than anywhere else on our map. In Orlando, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach sit inside the Walt Disney World resort area while Universal's Volcano Bay belongs to the Universal Orlando campus, so most families pick a hotel on one side of the city and plan park days around the shuttle or a short drive. Wisconsin Dells, which calls itself the Waterpark Capital of the World, flips the logic: many resorts there wrap an indoor waterpark under one roof, which keeps a winter weekend just as wet as a July one. Further afield we cover Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas, Knott's Soak City in Buena Park, Six Flags White Water near Atlanta, Water Country USA near Williamsburg and Wet'n'Wild Hawaii on Oahu. Our listings separate hotels with their own slides from those that rely on a nearby park, flag family suites, free parking and breakfast, and say plainly when park tickets are sold separately.

United States · FAQ

Orlando is the easiest first trip: three big outdoor parks, plenty of family suites and frequent hotel shuttles. If you travel outside summer, Wisconsin Dells is the safer bet because its resorts keep their indoor waterparks open whatever the weather outside is doing.
