Water Slides
Hotels with their own water slides near the big parks, from Wisconsin Dells and Orlando to Tatralandia, Druskininkai and Istria.
Some families want slides from the moment they wake up, not only during park hours. This collection gathers the hotels in our listings that have water slides of their own, in the hotel pool or a small on-site water area, close to a major waterpark. The United States has the largest group. In Wisconsin Dells, many resorts near Noah's Ark run their own slides, indoor or outdoor, and in Sandusky the hotel block at Castaway Bay is built around its waterpark. Orlando hotels near Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach add themed pools with slides. In Europe, look at the resorts near Aquapark Tatralandia in Slovakia's Liptov region, the hotels near Druskininkai Aquapark in southern Lithuania and those around Istralandia in Istria, while Siam Park in Tenerife and Aquaventure in Dubai complete the list. A hotel slide is rarely as tall or fast as those in the big parks, but it keeps children happy on rest days and in the evening. Check the minimum height and age, and whether the slides open all day or only at set times.

- Check the hotel slide's minimum height and age, which can be stricter than parents expect for the bigger tubes.
- Ask about slide opening times, since many hotels run them only for a few hours a day with a lifeguard on duty.
- Use the hotel slides on the evening of arrival and on rest days, and keep park tickets for full days.
- Look at whether the slides are indoor or outdoor; outdoor slides near Lake Erie or in Lithuania usually close in winter.
- Compare the price with a hotel without slides plus an extra park day, which can be better value for older children.
