多倫多市中心楓林苑小居 Maple Grove Cottage
Cottage-style rooms near Queen West
About this hotel
Maple Grove Cottage sits two minutes' walk from Queen Street West at Dovercourt Road, close to Soos for a nearby dining option, in a residential stretch of downtown Toronto's Queen West neighbourhood. Its cottage-style setup suits a family wanting a quieter, more homely feel than a typical downtown hotel tower, while still staying within a short streetcar ride of Ontario Place and the rest of the waterfront. A small handful of guest reviews all sit at the top of the rating scale, an encouraging early sign for a smaller, less conventional property in this part of the city. Guests travelling light on plans tend to do well here, treating the room as a base between water park days rather than a destination on its own.
- Cottage-style stay
- Near Queen West
- Quiet residential setting
Our take
This fits a family that prefers a smaller, cottage-style stay over a large hotel tower, particularly one that wants a quieter residential setting for the nights between busy days at the water park. It is not the flashiest option nearby, but it does the job a water park trip actually needs. Families who value straightforward logistics over extra polish tend to leave satisfied with the choice.
- ✓Book early if you want the cottage-style setup, since it is a smaller property with limited rooms.
- ✓Try Soos nearby for dinner on an evening away from the park.
- ✓Confirm exact walking directions from Dovercourt Road, since the property sits slightly off the main strip.
Why we love it
- Cottage-style setting
- Two minutes from Queen Street West
- Quieter residential pocket
Why guests love itMaple Grove Cottage gave our trip a quieter, more residential feel than the bigger hotels we considered, and the two-minute walk to Queen Street West was perfect for an easy dinner after a long day at Therme Toronto. It was not the most memorable part of the trip, but it did not need to be, given how much time went into Therme Toronto instead. Nothing about the stay stood out as a problem, which for a busy water park trip is exactly what a family wants from a hotel.
