Hotel Andante Rust
A second pool for the rest days
About this hotel
Hotel Andante Rust offers its own outdoor pool, a genuine second water option beyond Rulantica itself for a rest-day morning when the family doesn't feel like queuing for slides. Its understated restaurant and bar mean dinner doesn't require another car journey after a full day in the water, and pet-friendly rooms mean the family dog doesn't have to stay home. It sits five minutes' walk from Arthur and a minute from Rust, Hotel Bell Rock, close enough to the resort for an easy daily walk. Restaurant Harborside is two minutes' walk away for a change of scene. Full-service laundry rounds out a stay built for a multi-night trip with wet swimwear and a dog in tow.

Our take
Hotel Andante Rust suits a family travelling with a dog who wants a second pool for rest days and an on-site restaurant, at a rate below the larger resort hotels. It's a weaker fit for a family wanting a character breakfast buffet or a full spa, which only Krønasår and Bell Rock offer.
- ✓Use the outdoor pool on a rest day away from Rulantica when the kids need a change of pace.
- ✓Bring the dog's documentation to check-in if travelling with a pet in one of the pet-friendly rooms.
- ✓Try Restaurant Harborside for a change of scene, two minutes' walk from the hotel.
Why we love it
- Own outdoor pool
- Pet-friendly rooms
- Understated restaurant and bar
- Close walk to the resort
Why guests love itWe brought our dog and used Hotel Andante Rust's outdoor pool on our rest day away from Rulantica, which the kids loved almost as much as the slides. The understated restaurant covered a couple of easy dinners. It's a short walk to the resort, close enough that we didn't think twice about heading back for a second visit. Not as polished as Krønasår, but it did everything we actually needed.
