About this hotel

Jashita Hotel sits on a white-sand beach roughly nine kilometres from the Xel-Ha entrance and five from Dos Ojos Cenote, close enough to fold both into one relaxed itinerary without a long drive either way. Three outdoor pools spread across the beachfront grounds give the group room to spread out, while suites with private plunge pools let a tired toddler nap without ending everyone else's afternoon. Older kids and teens can burn off leftover energy in the main pools or on the sand, and staff can arrange beachfront yoga or a private snorkelling session for parents who want their own water time. The Pandano Restaurant closes out the day with local and international dishes, so nobody has to get back in the car once you're finally home from the cove.

  • White-sand beachfront setting
  • Private plunge pool suites
  • Sea-view Penthouse terrace
  • On-site Pandano Restaurant

Our take

Jashita works best for families who want a full-service beachfront base without leaving the property once the Xel-Ha day is done: three pools, private plunge pools, a proper restaurant and genuine spa touches. It suits a mixed-age group better than a couples-only escape, since the beachfront setting and multiple pools give everyone their own space. Anyone chasing a budget stay or a walk-to-the-park location should look elsewhere on this coast instead.

  • Book a suite with a private plunge pool early if travelling with a toddler who naps mid-afternoon most days.
  • Reserve beachfront yoga or a private snorkelling session ahead of school-holiday weeks, when staff time books up fast.
  • Ask about the Penthouse's sea-view terrace if you want the best vantage point on the property for sunset.

Why we love it

Why guests love it

What stood out was how little we had to plan once we arrived. The plunge pool attached to our suite meant naptime never derailed the rest of the day, and the short run out to Xel-Ha in the morning left plenty of afternoon for the beach. Dinner at the Pandano Restaurant became the easy default rather than a decision each night, which mattered more than expected with two tired kids in tow.
