About this hotel

Hotel Zhong Hua stands out for two things most hotels in this search don't offer: direct, private access to the beach, and interiors designed around feng shui principles rather than a standard hotel layout. Rooms are stylish, with a flat-screen TV, minibar and a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower, and free Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel's restaurant serves breakfast daily and specialises in original Far Eastern cuisine, with summer terrace seating overlooking the sea, a genuine point of difference from Sopot's more standard Polish-and-international hotel dining. A children's playground sits on the beach itself, and the property is three hundred metres from the Pier and four hundred from Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street. Sopot Train Station is about 1.1 kilometres away, and laundry and ironing services are available.

Our take

Zhong Hua suits families who want direct beach access above almost everything else, plus a genuinely different dining option from the usual Polish-and-international hotel restaurant; it's less about resort amenities and more about the beachfront position and the Far Eastern menu as real differentiators worth booking around, especially for a shorter three- or four-night stay.

  • Use the private beach access first thing in the morning before the wider public beach fills up in peak season.
  • Try the Far Eastern restaurant at least once; it's a genuine change of pace from the Polish and French menus elsewhere in Sopot.
  • Let kids use the on-beach playground as a wind-down after a full Aquapark Sopot day rather than heading straight back to the room.

Why we love it

  • Far Eastern restaurant with sea-view terrace

Why guests love it

The private beach access was the standout for us, no fighting for space on the public sand after a morning at Aquapark Sopot, and the kids loved the playground right on the beach itself. The Far Eastern restaurant was an unexpected favourite too, a genuine break from the Polish and international menus we'd had at other Sopot hotels earlier in the trip.
