Novotel Gdańsk Marina
Included indoor pool 50 metres from Jelitkowo Beach
About this hotel
Novotel Gdańsk Marina includes pool access directly in the room rate rather than charging separately: every guest gets free entry to an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre, inside a hotel fifty metres from Jelitkowo Beach on the Baltic coast, a ten-minute walk from Ergo Arena. Rooms are spacious and entirely smoke-free, with private bathrooms, cable TV and a work desk. A large green area surrounds the property, with a tennis court, a bonfire area and a snack and drink bar, and younger kids can use the playground or the games room's video games and table football. The Fish&Gin Restaurant covers meals on-site, useful given the hotel's more removed position: central Sopot sits about two kilometres away, with Sopot Pier a further half-kilometre out and Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport fifteen kilometres from the property.
- Free pool access
- 50m to Jelitkowo Beach
- Playground & games room
- On-site restaurant
Our take
Novotel Gdańsk Marina suits families wanting guaranteed, included daily pool access and genuine outdoor play space over the shortest possible walk to Aquapark Sopot; it's a car-dependent base rather than a walkable one, but the trade brings real value for a longer, multi-day stay near the wider Tricity coastline for families who plan ahead.
- ✓Plan for a car or taxi to reach central Sopot and Aquapark Sopot, since it's roughly two kilometres rather than walkable.
- ✓Use the included indoor pool on rest days between water park visits instead of paying for a spa elsewhere.
- ✓Book a room facing the green area if the tennis court and bonfire area matter for your stay.
Why we love it
- Free indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre for every guest
- Fifty metres from Jelitkowo Beach
- Playground and games room for a range of ages
- Large green area with tennis court and bonfire spot
Why guests love itHaving the indoor pool simply included meant no daily negotiation about cost, we used it most mornings before driving into Sopot for Aquapark in the afternoon. The green space around the hotel, tennis court, bonfire area and all, gave the kids somewhere to burn off extra energy on the days we didn't feel like the fifteen-minute drive into town at all, which turned out to be more often than we expected.
