Our take
This hotel suits families looking for a comfortable base near a major aqua park, especially those who appreciate wellness facilities after a day of activity. The spa centre, though an additional cost, offers a good option for parents to relax. It's ideal for families with mixed age groups who want both water park thrills and a calm retreat. Those seeking an integrated water park experience directly on-site, or who prefer all amenities included in the room rate, might consider other options.
- ✓Book your family suite well in advance, especially during school holidays, as these rooms tend to fill up quickly due to their popularity.
- ✓Factor in the additional cost for spa access if you plan to use the hotel's wellness facilities regularly during your stay.
- ✓Plan your aqua park visits to make the most of your time, considering peak hours and any potential early access options if available at the park itself.
Why we love it

- Close proximity to a major aqua park
- Wellness facilities for post-slide relaxation
Why guests love itHotel Janosik worked well as a base for a trip that mixed Aquapark Tatralandia with a day at the nearby ski centre, since both were about ten minutes away by car. The spa centre has its own pool, hot tub and saunas, though it's an extra charge on top of the room, which we only found worth it on our rest day. Rooms were straightforward rather than flashy, but the location between the two attractions is what sold us. Staff gave good directions for both without being asked twice.
