- Dog-friendly property
- Ten minutes from the centre
Our take
This suits families wanting a calmer, lakeside setting with easy access for both city breaks and fly-drive trips, plus the option of bringing a dog along for a Cardiff pool holiday. The ten-minute drive to the centre is a fair trade for the quieter surroundings around the lake and less traffic to navigate.
- ✓Bring a contactless card or payment method, since the property operates on a cashless basis throughout.
- ✓Walk the dog around the lake if travelling with a pet, since it offers calmer surroundings than the city centre.
- ✓Book the Lakeview Lounge and Bar for a relaxed dinner rather than driving back into Cardiff each evening.
Why we love it
- Lakeside setting
- Dog-friendly rooms
- Under 20 minutes from the airport
- Lakeview Lounge and Bar on site
Why guests love itWalking the dog around the lake each morning before the pool became a genuinely nice part of the daily routine, calmer than trying to do the same thing in central Cardiff. The Lakeview Lounge and Bar covered most of our dinners without needing to drive back into the centre after a tiring pool day. Being cashless caught us out on day one, so we made sure to have a card ready after that.
