Barbers Point Beach Cottages is not a hotel anyone can book: the 24 units on the old Barbers Point naval air station are reserved for patrons with a Department of Defense ID, from active-duty families to retirees and DoD civilians. If you hold one, it is a strong Wet'n'Wild base for a family. The three-bedroom cottages sleep up to eight, the White Plains units sit about 50 feet from the shorebreak, and each comes with air conditioning, a washer and dryer and a barbecue grill. The waterpark is roughly 5.4 km away as the crow flies, a car trip rather than a walk. Without military ID, look at the Kapolei and Ko Olina hotels instead.
