About this hotel

The Hawaiian Princess sits about three minutes by taxi from Makaha Beach Park, well west of Wet'n'Wild Hawaii itself, and pairs free parking with an outdoor pool, a hot tub and beach access. It's a genuinely different base than the Kapolei or Ko Olina clusters, suited to a family prioritizing west-Oahu's quieter beaches over daily proximity to the water park. A short walk covers Farrington Highway, and Da Brazilian Braddahs 2 sits about five minutes away for an easy dinner without much planning, for families planning a slides day, once the bags are unpacked, for the whole family, during the stay, for a family visiting the park, on this side of Oahu.

  • Free parking
  • Hot tub
  • Beach access
  • Outdoor pool

Our take

This suits a family who wants a quieter, more residential west-Oahu beach base and is willing to treat Wet'n'Wild Hawaii as a single, well-planned day trip rather than a daily destination. It's a good fit for a longer beach-focused stay; anyone whose whole trip centers on the water park will find the drive here impractical.

  • Budget close to an hour of drive time each way for the single Wet'n'Wild Hawaii day trip from here.
  • Use the hot tub after beach days rather than expecting a spa-level wellness setup at this price point.
  • Walk to Da Brazilian Braddahs 2 for an easy dinner without needing the car most evenings.

Why we love it

  • Free parking included
  • Hot tub on site
  • Beach access nearby
  • Quieter west-Oahu setting
Why guests love it

We stayed here for the beach and only made the roughly hour-long drive to Wet'n'Wild Hawaii once, as a single planned day trip, which suited us fine since this stretch of coast was never meant to be our water-park base. The hot tub was a nice way to end our beach days, and Makaha Beach Park just down the road felt worth the trade-off.
