Cedar Stables Inn and Suites
A budget base steps from Castaway Bay
About this hotel
Cedar Stables Inn and Suites keeps rates low while offering free parking, free Wi-Fi and its own entertainment complex, a short taxi from the Merry-Go-Round Museum downtown and a walk from Castaway Bay's indoor water park. That walking distance to Castaway Bay is the real draw here, letting a family staying at a budget rate still access an indoor water park on foot rather than needing a car. Toddlers and teens alike can make the short walk over for a second swim in the evening, and the on-site entertainment complex gives the group something to do without leaving the property on a quieter night in between park days on a longer trip.

Our take
This suits a family that wants walking access to Castaway Bay's indoor water park without paying that resort's room rate. It's a genuinely budget property, so expectations should stay modest on room polish, but the location does real work here. Families wanting an outdoor pool of their own should look at Cedar Cove or Fairfield by Marriott instead.
- ✓Walk to Castaway Bay for an evening swim rather than driving; it's close enough to make on foot.
- ✓Use the on-site entertainment complex for a quieter night without needing to leave the property at all.
- ✓Book early for summer weeks, since walkable-to-Castaway-Bay budget rooms are a smaller share of the area's inventory.
