About this hotel

Ilirija Resort Hotel Ilirija sits right on the Biograd na Moru waterfront, a short stroll from the town centre and just 50 metres from a blue-flag pebbly, sandy and concrete beach with deck chairs, parasols and natural shade included. Family rooms come air-conditioned with a private bathroom, and some add a balcony or seating area, useful for parents wanting somewhere to sit once the kids are asleep. The hotel's own terrace looks out over sunsets across the water, and its restaurant serves fine Dalmatian cuisine for evenings when nobody wants to walk further than the lobby. A cocktail bar on the English lawn runs into the summer evenings with live music, useful for parents wanting a proper night out without arranging a babysitter or leaving the grounds. The waterfront position and short walk into town cover both a Dalmaland base and an evening out.

  • Waterfront, 50 m to the beach
  • Family rooms with balcony
  • Cocktail bar terrace

Our take

Ilirija Resort Hotel Ilirija suits families wanting both a beachfront setting and an easy walk into Biograd na Moru's town centre, plus couples who'd enjoy the cocktail bar terrace after the kids are settled. It's a weaker match for anyone wanting a self-catering kitchenette, since the setup here is a standard hotel room built around the restaurant and bar rather than independent cooking.

  • Book a balcony room if evening downtime matters, since not every family room includes outdoor space as standard.
  • Walk into central Biograd na Moru for dinner at least once, since it's genuinely close enough to make a proper evening of it.
  • Reserve a spot at the English lawn cocktail bar on weekend evenings, since it draws a crowd once the sun starts to set.

Why we love it

  • Fifty metres from a blue-flag beach
  • Short walk into central Biograd
  • Waterfront terrace with sunset views
  • English lawn cocktail bar
Why guests love it

The walk into central Biograd na Moru from Ilirija Resort Hotel Ilirija turned out to be the highlight most evenings, close enough that we didn't need the car at all after the Dalmaland drive back. The English lawn cocktail bar became our regular spot once the kids were down, watching the sunset over the water fifty metres from the beach we'd used that same morning.
