Ecovergel Riviera Maya
Wellness centre and free bicycles in Chemuyil
About this hotel
Ecovergel Riviera Maya leans into wellness more than most of the Chemuyil cluster, running both spa facilities and a dedicated wellness centre alongside its year-round outdoor pool and garden. Family rooms include air-conditioning, private bathrooms and free WiFi, with a seating area and TV for downtime between outings. Free bicycles let a family explore the village without touching the car, useful on lighter days when Xel-Ha or the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve aren't on the agenda. The restaurant serves Mexican cuisine across brunch, lunch and dinner, with continental or à la carte breakfast options, and free on-site parking rounds out a stay built around genuine recovery rather than constant activity, which suits a family pacing itself across a longer Riviera Maya holiday.
- Wellness centre and spa
- Free bicycles
- Garden pool setting
- Mexican restaurant on-site
Our take
Ecovergel suits families who want wellness facilities and a slower pace between active days at Xel-Ha or the Sian Ka'an reserve, rather than a beachfront resort experience. The free bicycles and wellness centre add real value for a longer stay. It's a longer drive from Tulum's Mayan ruins than some alternatives, so plan accordingly if the ruins are a priority.
- ✓Use the free bicycles for short village trips and save the car for the longer drive to Xel-Ha itself.
- ✓Book the wellness centre or spa in advance for the day after a tiring morning at the park.
- ✓Try the à la carte breakfast option before an early Xel-Ha start rather than the standard continental spread.
Why we love it
- Dedicated wellness centre on-site for guests
- Free bicycles for exploring village trips
- Year-round pool set in the garden
- Free on-site parking included with stay
Why guests love itWe used the free bicycles more than expected, cycling around Chemuyil village on the days we weren't driving out to Xel-Ha. The wellness centre was a welcome addition after a physically tiring morning at the park, and the garden pool gave the kids somewhere calm to settle down before dinner. The Mexican restaurant on-site meant we rarely needed to drive anywhere in the evening, which suited us fine after a long day of snorkelling.
