Hotel RF Astoria - Adults Only
Adults-only apartments in the tourist centre
About this hotel
In the heart of the tourist centre, a stone's throw from the beach, this adults-only property keeps fully equipped apartments around an outdoor pool. That single detail shapes most of a stay here: mornings spent around the hotel's own pool, then a short trip to Lago Martiánez itself once the day warms up, rather than treating the lake as a full day's outing. Puerto de la Cruz's mild climate means outdoor time works for most of the year, and the town's seafront promenade, restaurants and Plaza del Charco are all within easy reach on foot, so a car isn't essential for daily life here. As an adults-only property, the pace here stays quiet rather than family-oriented, which suits couples and groups of friends looking for a calmer version of a Puerto de la Cruz stay.
- 3-star property
- Swimming pool
- Central Puerto de la Cruz location
Our take
Hotel RF Astoria - Adults Only suits travellers who want a straightforward, well-located base near Lago Martiánez rather than a destination resort in its own right, especially couples wanting a quieter, adults-only atmosphere. The appeal here is proximity and value rather than polish: guests trade a wider entertainment programme for a shorter walk to the lake and the seafront. Anyone after a quiet, minimalist stay with little beyond the essentials should look further along the coast, but for the price and the location, this hotel does the job well.
- ✓Book directly with the hotel or well ahead in peak summer weeks, when rooms at this price and location sell out fastest.
- ✓Ask at check-in about pool and facility hours, since some are seasonal or run on a different schedule outside peak months.
- ✓Pack for a short walk to Lago Martiánez and the seafront rather than relying on a taxi for every trip out.
Why we love it
- In the heart of the tourist centre
- Easy reach of Lago Martiánez
- Straightforward, functional base
- Good value for the location
Why guests love itOur apartment at Hotel RF Astoria had everything two adults actually use: a proper kitchenette, a balcony, no fuss. Sitting in the heart of the tourist centre, a stone's throw from the beach, meant restaurants and the walk to Lago Martiánez were both under ten minutes, we usually did the lake in the late afternoon once the day-trip crowds thinned. It's a three-star budget, not a resort, and it doesn't pretend otherwise, but for an adults-only base in the thick of things, it worked well for us.
