Hotels in Lago Martiánez

Puerto de la Cruz built its entire seafront around Lago Martiánez, the saltwater lido César Manrique designed from an artificial lake and seven linked pools along Avenida Colón. Most visitors choose a hotel here specifically to walk to the lake rather than drive to it, and the same short stretch of coast puts Playa Jardín's black sand and the old town's Plaza del Charco within easy reach on foot. Unlike Tenerife's busier south, this stretch of the north stays quieter and greener, closer to banana plantations and La Orotava's historic centre than to a resort strip. Families base themselves here for the lake first, then fill spare days with the botanical garden a few streets inland or a short trip up toward Teide.
