ProfilHotels Opera Göteborg
Refined rooms with an indoor pool and lobby bar
About this hotel
ProfilHotels Opera Göteborg pairs a refined, central address with its own indoor pool and hot tub, a useful alternative to Oceana on a day the family wants a quieter swim away from the water park's crowds. Its position near Trädgårdsföreningen garden and Nordstan keeps a family close to central Gothenburg's own shopping and green spaces. The lobby bar covers a relaxed evening without needing to travel far, and pet-friendly status means a travelling dog is welcome. The tram to Liseberg runs from this same central grid, keeping the daily commute manageable. For a family wanting a refined, moderately priced central stay with its own indoor pool, this is a solid, less flashy option on this list.

Our take
ProfilHotels Opera Göteborg suits a family that wants a central base with its own indoor pool, a useful backup to Oceana. There is a spa, a chic restaurant and a lobby bar, and pets are welcome. It sits near Trädgårdsföreningen garden and the Nordstan shopping centre, so meals and errands are close by. Guests rate it 7.8 out of 10 across 1,842 reviews, lower than the top hotels on this list.
- ✓Use the in-house indoor pool and hot tub on a day when Oceana's queues run long, saving the park for a quieter morning.
- ✓Walk to Nordstan for shopping or a rainy-day break, since it sits only a short walk from the hotel.
- ✓Book pet-friendly rooms directly if travelling with a dog at this moderately priced, central property.
Why we love it
- Own indoor pool and hot tub
- Refined, central address
- Lobby bar for relaxed evenings
- Pet-friendly rooms
Why guests love itWe used the hotel's own indoor pool as a backup on a day Oceana looked too crowded, and it turned out to be a genuinely relaxed alternative for the kids. Being close to Nordstan also made it easy to fit in some shopping on our one non-water-park afternoon. That practical upside carried the stay more than any single room feature did.
