Hotels in Sweden
Swedish waterparks are mostly indoor, which suits a country where outdoor swimming season is short, and they are spread across its largest cities, so a slide day fits easily into a city break. In Gothenburg, Liseberg Oceana is built into Scandinavia's best-known amusement park, and families can combine slides with rides in summer or stay indoors when the west-coast weather turns. In Malmö, our base takes its name from the 1956 Simhallsbadet swimming hall, with Hyllie's water park a short ride south and the Ribersborg beach for summer days. Stockholm is covered by Husbybadet in the north of the city, close to the hotels of Kista and a direct metro line to the centre. Inland, Gustavsvik on the edge of Örebro runs an indoor slide hall and wave pool all year beside a summer campsite and cabin village. On the Baltic, Öland's zoo and amusement park in Färjestaden adds old-school slides at the island end of the bridge from Kalmar. Many Swedish hotels welcome pets, include a generous breakfast and offer family rooms, and public transport links are excellent.
