Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire
Understated comfort out toward Keele
About this hotel
Courtyard by Marriott sits a little further out toward Keele, with understated, business-style rooms, a fitness centre, coffee shop and restaurant on site. Pet-friendly policies make it an option for families bringing a dog who want a quieter, more understated base than the city-centre chains. It's a short taxi from the Brampton Museum and a longer drive to Water World itself than some of the city-centre options, so this suits a family who values the calmer, more residential setting over walking distance to anything specific. The fitness centre is a genuine amenity for parents who want a workout in while the kids recover from a day of flumes back in the room.

Our take
This suits a family who wants a quieter, more understated base out toward Keele, with a fitness centre and pet-friendly rooms, and doesn't mind the longer drive to Water World. It's not the pick if proximity to the park or free parking and breakfast are priorities. The fitness centre and coffee shop on site suit a parent who wants a calmer, more residential base than the city-centre chains offer.
- ✓Plan for a longer drive to Water World from here than from the city-centre or Festival Park-adjacent options.
- ✓Use the fitness centre if a parent wants a workout in while the family rests after a water park day.
- ✓Budget separately for both breakfast and parking, neither is included in the base rate here.

Why guests love itWe wanted somewhere calmer to come back to after a busy Water World day and this delivered that, a quieter setting than the city centre with a decent fitness centre I actually used one evening. The drive to the park was longer than we expected, so worth knowing that ahead of booking. A calmer base than we expected, in a good way.
