The Czech waterparks in our listings are all in Moravia, the eastern half of the country, and they suit families who like to mix slides with wine villages, castles and compact historic towns. The largest is Aqualand Moravia in Pasohlávky, a South Moravian village on the Nové Mlýny reservoirs below the Pálava hills, right by the motorway between Brno and Vienna. It has its own hotel on site, and further stays spread through the surrounding wine country. In the north-east, Aquacentrum Bohumín sits at the Bospor sports centre in Nový Bohumín, five kilometres north of Ostrava, with an indoor and outdoor park and a 48-metre slide, and many hotels in Ostrava and Bohumín within a short drive. Aquapark Olomouc serves the historic Moravian capital, whose Holy Trinity Column is on the UNESCO list, so families stay in the old centre and take the tram out to the pools. Near Brno, Wellness Kuřim offers a quieter alternative with a single golf and wellness hotel and its own indoor pool. Prices are moderate by Central European standards, and breakfast and parking are often included.
