Hotels in Italy

Italy pairs its waterparks with the things families already travel there for: the Adriatic beaches, Lake Garda, Rome and the Alps on the horizon. Our listings cover four bases, each with a different style of stay. In Piedmont, Ondaland at Vicolungo is an open-air park about forty minutes by car from Milan Malpensa, and families sleep in Vicolungo itself or in nearby Novara and Vercelli, often in hotels with breakfast and free parking. On the Venetian coast, Caribe Bay sits on the Lido di Jesolo beach strip, where seafront hotels with private beach areas put the slides a short walk away and Venice is an easy day trip. On Lake Garda's eastern shore, the hotel cluster around Castelnuovo del Garda serves the water area of the Gardaland resort and the lakeside towns of Peschiera and Lazise. South of Rome, Zoomarine at Torvaianica, part of Pomezia, combines slides, wave pools and animal shows, and hotels on the Lazio coast avoid the drive into the capital. Outdoor parks here mostly open from late May to early September, so check dates before you book.
