Why guests love itThe Ryanggang Hotel sits on a hilltop where the Taedong and Potong rivers meet, a steep ten-minute walk uphill from the Sosan Hotel, and that's where our guide placed us for the Pyongyang leg of the trip. Breakfast was basic, eggs, toast, barley tea, instant coffee, but the small pool and the karaoke room filled an evening well enough. Only one or two of the lifts seemed to work at any time, so we got used to the stairs. A budget-tour staple rather than a showpiece hotel.
